Dürer Votive VII
Named after the drawing made in 1508 of praying hands by German artist Albrecht Dürer. The Dürer Votives are cast from purpose-made moulds that closely resemble the hands of Dürer’s original artwork.
These candles have an estimated burn time of 30 minutes to an hour and are designed to be lit as votives. Approximately 8 cm tall.
Lightly scented with sandalwood.
Made with a 100% pure beeswax.

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees of the genus Apis. Beeswax candles are historically purported to be superior to other wax candles, as they burn brighter and cleaner, and it is more durable as a material. Producing beeswax does not involve chemicals, so it is a simple and environmentally friendly process.

Croydon Candles are handmade in small batches of similar design. No candle is the same as another, each a distinct aesthetic object. We set the designs inside the mould before pouring: designs are not painted on afterwards but more like a glaze in ceramics.
Our candles create sculptural effects as melting wax is displaced and drips when each candle burns - we recommend protecting your furniture from wax spills! Please also make sure to trim your wicks to avoid large flames.
